Florida Venture Forum Announces Presenting Companies for the 2007 Venture Capital Conference
TAMPA, Fla. (Dec. 28, 2006) – The Florida Venture Forum has selected 26 Florida companies – a record number -- to present at the 2007 Venture Capital Conference to be held Feb. 6 and 7 at the Boca Raton Resort & Club in Boca Raton, Fla.
“We’ve selected 26 of Florida's best prospects for equity financing to make presentations to an audience of venture capitalists, investment bankers, financial intermediaries and entrepreneurs,” says Dick Brandewie, Ballast Point Ventures, co-chair of the 2007 Florida Venture Capital Conference.
More than 1,200 people attended the 2006 Conference, which attracted 185 venture capital firms from across the U.S. with billions of dollars to invest in Florida. To date, former Conference presenters over the past 15 years have been successful in raising nearly $1 billion.
